What?

Humans remain a mystery to me.
I fail to understand their fickle nature.
The ability to disregard previous encounters and feelings eludes me.
However it seems to be common practice.
I cannot make sense of actions and words in relation to future actions and future words.
How can I align a whispered word then to the discontinuity of now?
It is clearly the same person, as they have not changed their form.
Though they are not the same person, because I knew that person and I do not know you.
Now I keep the former you safely locked away in my mind and dwell on the past. I dwell on the present you also, how can you be so dissimilar? I dwell on the future you, will you become a combination of the two people I know to be you? Or will you show me a third face?

I must learn to disregard my feelings and become fickle too, otherwise the world will devour me.
But how can I do something that is so unlike me that if I were to do so I would cease to be me. Just as you have ceased to be you.
